I've had a good look through the search facility and can't satisfy myself with an answer to the following:

I have a spare Primus 210 burner which was once attached to a tank which had a male font. The burner/riser assembly would screw on to the tank and be nipped with the spanner.

I've recently obtained a very nice Primus 210 tank (marked AU with a Z) which you have guessed .....has a female assembly. I presume I need a male tapered riser to connect to my burner? I can't see anything obvious at Basecamp.Am I right in thinking this could be a long search or is there an alternative solution??

    Hi
You're right the burner will be a straight swap but you need the right rising tube.
    Primus part 4218 I think.
If you post a wanted on the site you may be able to swap your riser with someone who has the right one for you.

Hi Tony, I am afraid that you could have a long search for a male riser tube for a Pr.210 stove.
You could try a Wanted ad. on the CCS site.

    Best Regards,
    Kerophile.

Ive been looking for one for a few months I think there is one in New Zealand on ebay but its going to be expensive there are 7 bidders at £12 with time to run! I make do with one off of my Veritas!
There is also a British stove that has a male riser tube you could use.

    Good luck Nick

Thanks for all the quick replies. I thought New Zealand might hold the key and failing that my patience might be tested.

Why looking for an expensive part on the other side of the world if you stand a decent chance to find a complete post-war 210 - with such a riser - for pennies in your backyard? You DO live in the land of carboot sales, don't you? Pre-war 210's nestle too in them boots, so you have a choice of what to mate if the forces are with you. Good luck, Mike.
