@The Warrior Those tin made spirit cans rust quickly due to humidity in air and from inside when there has been meths that always contains little amount of water. I have oiled (inside also) my unused tin spirit cans to prevent them to 'decay away'. That Primus wind screen is awesome and functionality is well design. I have seen them only in pictures and never had one. Optimus 00 is fine stove. Should be here in a few days. @Afterburner I may oil up the inside of the can, and wax the outside for preservation. I love that windscreen. I know in the photos I posted, it's not up where it belongs, but with the pilot lighter in place, necessary. Good to know. Didn't know there was a separate patent model.
Patent 00s are the first versions of Optimus 00. First ones were made in Stockholm when Optimus was still operating there. Here is some more info about 00 Patent: OPTIMUS PATENT 00s -FEATURES Bun foot 00 would be very nice to find but they don't appear for sale too often...

@Harder D. Soerensen Yeah, probably will, haha. The 00 isn't supposed to get here until the 12th-14th. Wanting to get the 45 fired up, but am waiting on the kit.
Can't think of how many old stoves I've fired right up with zero problems, before going through seals, etc. Especially kero stoves, where a leak won't hurt much. You are showing admirable restraint!
Lighting sucks, so not the best photos. My instamatic doesn't do too well in low light, so I had to use the flash. Raining outside, so that's a no go. The goods: Tin has minimal rust inside: Underside. Says W2 on it: 210: Burner. Turned the pilot lighter right side up: Spirits can: Windscreen: Wrench: Put together: Windscreen off: My spirits can next to the original: Use my old copper Coleman funnel I picked up at the antique store awhile back for $8: Surprised I didn't spill it while taking the photo: Fired up the alcohol: A few seconds in, and the pilot lighter came alive: When the priming flame was about gone, I started pumping. Nope, it wasn't working. I had to take the pump out, and flare out the leather a bit. It was well oiled, just not quite hitting the sides. Put it back in, and re-primed it. This time it lit right up, but it was only burning on one side:
Started doing a little better after letting it run for a bit: Oh yeah, I forgot to use the pricker. Did, fired it up, and it roared to life: Priming cup is a little wonky: Don't know if this is the correct tin or not, but there's no way the windscreen will fit, haha. Looking forward to using the old girl. Thanks for looking.

Thanks Ed. Heck yeah, between the rigid structure of said box, and the massive padlock, should be good to go, haha. I actually take a sling bag to work sometimes, and bought those locks to lock the zippers.
