    After all the great posts about silent burners on small stoves I thought I would post some photos of my 1929 Primus 96 with it's (Primus patent)silent burner, which I assume is original equipment.

    Hi Cinc. Great photos of an operating original Primus "Silent Damper" for a No.96 stove.
    Many thanks for posting the photos.

    It is remarkable that Gary managed to re-invent this silent damper since he did not have acess to drawings or photographs of the original.

    Best Regards,
    Kerophile.

    I am keen to having one of those silen dampers.

    If Gary produces some dampers very close to that, I am sure many of us will contact with him.

    @ChuckXu

    You are asking a question on a 2009 thread.

    But the answer is: the originals are very uncommon.

    There are modern silent burner fittings for the 96 on eBay.

    Best regards

    Tony
