I just purchased a Primus No.1 on ebay. Got it for about $40AUD. Seems to be in pretty good condition but i tried to fire it up with no luck, i think there is a blockage somewhere. What i want to know is how to go about removing the burner and giving it a good clean without causing any damage. Is it just a matter of unscrewing the burner and going from there. I am yet to make a tool to remove the NRV but i think that also needs servicing. Also i'm curious about the age. There is an "S 34" stamped on the base. The dating chart lists "S" being from 1928 but what does the 34 represent? Cheers. Luke
Hi Luke, congrats with your Primus N°1! What the number stands for (any number that comes with the year code), nobody knows! This is one of the unsolved misteries of life... Regards, Wim
