    A well made, very nicely stamped tin.

    IMG_1256.jpeg

    Size of the tin:
    Length= 5.8”/148mm
    Width= 4.5”/116mm
    Height= 2.5”/64mm

    Close up of the tin’s simple but effective latch.

    The wrench is stamped ‘PRIMUS’ on both sides.

    The circular raised section cleverly reinforces the base of the tin.

    Seen here fitted with the accessory No.4200 PATENT SÖKT
    silent cap.

    And here, fitted with the unambiguous ’PRIMUS’ stamped flame spreader.

    The four-post windshield in place.

    IMG_1264.jpeg

    Tank and filler cap stampings.

    Integrated pot support leg.

    IMG_1271.jpeg

    Filler cap, air release valve, reserve cap, pump cap and knob knurling design.

    IMG_1272.jpeg

    Pump knob face stamped with a ‘7’…lucky stove I guess.

    IMG_1273.jpeg

    The burner bell is stamped across its four quadrants…
    ‘PRIMUS-SWEDEN-PRIMUS-SWEDEN’.

    Date stamp: M = 1923.

    As fine an example as I’ve seen. Well done.

    @hikerduane - Cheers for that. The tin overtime, developed an outline on the base of the tin, showing where it has always been positioned. So as long as I position it there to start with when packing away, it reduces the faffing about trying to locate it afterwards.

    Picture is not great but with a few eye-squints, the tin’s outline can just be seen.

    Yes, I know it goes there, just a tight fit on many, too, I think the tins get dented over the years and it only takes a little bit of lost space to make it hard to put all the parts away. Some come with the round meths dispenser.
    I went thru over 60 of my 96's a few weeks back, firing them up and testing once again. Some had meths dispensers and some didn't. Alcohol and moisture take there toll over the years.
