Hello, Today I fired up my Primus 54. It had been unused for some time. It started burning with a nice blue flame, but after a few minutes the flame went high and orange for a few seconds. And than back to normal. This way of burning went on repeatedly. Any ideas of what can be the cause? Help much appreciated! Klaas
Now that I think about it: it could be. Can a very small amount of water (e.g. 1%) cause this problem? I cleaned the kero-canister . . .
Yes, water droplets in the supply of steam can momentarily interrupt cobustion, the steam causes the flare. Too much water can put the stove out completely.
