Helllo! To day at E-bay there showes an Stove called R1 (Similar to the 8R Hunter). Showed up, and was replaced a few hours later. Does anybody nows what this was? Maybe it just was an bad joke? In that case I can understand the quick replasing from E-Bay. wbr Skauvill in Norway
Hey, Skauvill, Welcome to CCS!! Good to have another Norwegian Stove Brother on board! As I didn't get to see the auction about which you're talking, I don't know, exactly, what could have happened. What color was the case of the "R-1"? It might have been one of those little Russian stoves that are copies of the Optimus 8R. Several of us have those, and it seems to be a nice little stove, which is still available on FleaBay. Did you take any screen photos of the original posting? If so, let us know how we can see them. Hello! I have noticed that there are som norwegians at this forum to. Cooking stoves are popular also in Norway. I`m sorry, also for my self. I was not able to see the auktion, before it was replaced. I just get a message at "My saved search" at E-bay. When I "Cklikked" the link, an message popped ut that the Item was replased. Yes it maybe was an russian camping stove, I also have one of this in my collecttion, and I thought that they was rare, and it not was many of them, byt at E-bay they pops up from time to time. The last one I saw was sold for only $37, and that prise is mostly half price that the Hunter gets, and it was also in unused condition whit a little scratch on top. So you say that this stoves are gettable new also elsewhere. Have you ore anybody else who might be reading this seen or maybe are owners of the american copie of 8R, named Sunmate Thunder? Thank you bout for welcoming me at this forum And thanks for answers! When yoy say search, you mean search at E-bay? Or other places at well. I have`nt collect stoves for many years, and therfore the most in campingstoves whit singleburner are "rare" stoves for me. Eksept stoves like 3-bone H?vik, Optimus 111, and som more there are plenty of at norwegians marked. I like them small from the 40-50 or 60`s. Lightweight, not as myself i`m afraid.
Then my friend you are at the right place now. Yes we mean on E-bay, there you will find those critters now and again. As for stoves... take a look around here and you'll see we have a LOT of those.... things you get addicted on
