Remove spindle from tank SVEA 123R?

    Hi @Gigi Galbreath Please do not run the stove with the control key in place or you will get “Branded” by the metal when you next touch it.

    Well done on the rebuild.

    My 123R will candle a bit if I shut it off by turning it off. I'm sure the tip of the spindle is worn.

    But, I generally extinguish the stove by turning it fully OPEN, so that the cleaning needle is fully up. This shuts down the stove entirely without resorting to any pressure.

    AFTER the flame is out, I close the stove slowly so that pressurized gas can blow through the jet. I then park the valve in the fully closed position with minimal pressure.
