@Twoberth You will like them - they are not cheap - but its top notch quality. A bit tricky to begin with for me - but now they are some of my first go-to pliers. @Marc Thank you - I’ve had and used them a lot for more than a year now. In our little tight Danish Lampie Club - they are mandatory to get in ;-) I can recommend to start with the smallest one (KNIPEX 86 03 125/cap. SW23 / 7/8”)

@Harder D. Soerensen Ha! My birthday’s on Saturday and those two sizes will be with me on Friday. I recognise their purposefulness, just like the ‘Engineer’ pliers that prompted this post - which daily are proving their worth. Thank you Harder! (Even though I’m paying) John
The beauty of tools like the “Engineer” pliers and the “Knipex” is they reduce the number of items you need in your fettling kit when car camping, or when off to someone’s place to help with a problem. I keep my Knipex in easy reach on a magnetic bar above my workbench. I’m still waiting for the “Engineer”... Tony

Glad you like them John. I use mine quite a lot. Also as a better tool than an adjustable wrench - especially if the nut/bolts are a bit rounded. Or if you have a bend/crooked jet pricker/needle - put it between those parallel jaws and squeeze carefully - and then rotate that tiny needle and repeat —> your pricker rod/needle is now straightened out.

I got both pairs this week. I already can't find the green handled ones . The red handled pliers are an engineering marvel. Expensive but really worth the money. The jaws always stay parallel to each other which is great for gripping nuts and bolts. Ben
