hi, i have two rippingille stoves that came as part of a larger lot at auction (i was after the lanterns that came in the same lot so i will be selling these on), i would like to get some information on them before listing them on ebay this week, if any one could shed some light on them it would be greatly appreciated. One has a plaque with model 777 on it the other looks to be mostly complete? but no model number for that one. Thanks in advance for any help, ian.
Its a wick burner alright but its missing the tube that sits on top. The tube normally acts to channel air flames evenly. Dont know much except that. Ron
Hi, both stoves are 'Blue Flame' type, the first is a #777 as you have identified. The second is a model #231, both are quite incomplete in missing the chimneys, pot supports and the fuel bottle on the #777. All parts are obolete and going to be hard to find today. Contact me if you want to sell them both as I am compiling details on Rippingilles for a possible book.
