Selus petrol stove

    I don't find the descriptions clear enough to identify the type of Selus being discussed and the most recent ebay link is 11-years-old. I've THIS gasoline-fuelled Selus. Is it this type?

    On small gasoline stoves such as a Svea 123 I've not relied on spanner flats, which can easily round over. I've had more success with this technique, seen in use on an Optimus 8 (which has no spanner flats).

    Hi John, Thanks for your reply. Please see attached photo from a current EBay posting. Sadly the stove I have is not in such good order! You can see that access to the retaining nut is very restricted and the nut itself is large, so a bit of a challenge.

    I see, that model. I understand the dilemma.

    How about this type of ring spanner? - which can be purchased or a 'regular' ring spanner adapted by grinding a slot in it to alow it to slide over the burner riser stem.
