So I picked up a Max Sievert/ Svea Simplex No. 2 at an antique store the other day for $60. It is in excellent condition with no dents. Everything seems to have come with it except for the brass flame cap. Any idea where I can get a replacement? The legs on this one are not the sought after cast iron, but of stamped metal with light rust and all the Sievert markings. Anyway, I was wondering if anyone knew what years these were made? I cannot find anything on this site or the internet on these stove other than a few photos. Are the Simplex stove kerosene burners? The jet on this one may not be the original as it is one that can be removed with a small flat blade screwdriver. Should there be a conventional jet on it that can be removed with a nipple wrench like my Svea/Sievert 123? Thank you for any help.

The Reference Gallery is the best place to look for examples (like the one above).

You can find replacement inner and outer burner caps on eBay.

Pretty limited info, but got it going! I forgot I had an old Optimus brass cap and kero jet. They fit perfectly and worked. I cannot believe how quiet this stove is. There is a little flat screw at the bottom of the tank I removed it to expose the nrv. It seems to line up with the pump from the top. When removing the pump and looking down the tube all there is a flat bottom with hole to pump air into the tank. I wish I knew how old it was.
