The lady in the antique shop said it was "some kinda coffee pot, I don't know how it works". But we do. All stainless steel, 20cm tall, almost unused, made in Italy. Under $20 USD. NOTE: No MSR pumps were harmed in the making of this post.
I used Starbucks Espresso roast coffee and plain cold water. I sat it on my little Turm Sport and in a few minutes I had an excellent cup of coffee! This one is a user! For the record, the brand is Alfa Inox.
I found one similar to the one you have, this past summer. It makes the best camp coffee thats for sure...
A slightly different shape but identical workings to my s/s Bialetti. That'll provide you with wonderful coffee for years to come. Not too fine grinds and you'll get no residue in your cup (if you care about such things...) Excellent score!
I have a 4 cup Bialetti and a two cup knock off of a Bialetti but they are mostly shelf sitters. The Alfa seems to be much newer and I am more inclined to actually use it. I am still in persuit of a good ibrik and a set of cups.
I have too many coffee making methods to write, but, my favorite is pour-over. Like Chemex. I just found this brass pot at a thrift shop for 8 USD. It pours very well. And it holds more than enough for the 6 cup Chemex (30 oz?). I really don't want to pay 50 for a Hario kettle. And this one does the job as well. Ken
Been seeing those bialetti coffee perks in different configurations lately at the thrift shop. The normal percolator does the job done outdoors for me without having to fumble unscrewing the bottom and more cleaning. The best tasting coffee is in fresh ground beans and non-chlorinated water. Ron
