A sassy 111 wearing a sexy red outfit. A sassy 111 starting to warm up. A sassy 111 on fire! Show me your tea kettle big boy.
Hey, HTG, Yes, yes, a thousand times, YESSSSSSS!!!!! 8) 8) 8) Very nice job, HTG, and also, I like the fire-engine read and brass tank! You may just have started a "thing" here on CCS! Now, all you need is a nice red kettle like Trangia used to offer, and you're right up town!! I'll post a photo of my red kettle, if you haven't seen one. And, you've got a really good blue flame going there, too!! Kerosene, or Coleman fuel? Outstanding, Gunner!! Thanks, for sharing, and God Bless! Every Good Wish, Doc Mark
It's running on Coleman Camp Fuel. It does about the same with Kerosene but with just a few orange streaks in the flame. With the Alcohol jet and restrictor it makes a very nice light blue flame that I believe is hotter than the petrol flame. It turns the burner cherry red much quicker anyway.
It looks very attractive in red, well done. A tripod, or at least a steady support for your camera will help to make blurred pictures a thing of the past. Please edit your images to a maximum of 600px wide; ideally before you submit them to Photobucket.
I love that red and brass effect. Looks a treat. I might have to do that to one of my stoves and see for myself. I have a hard time thinking that the meths are burning hotter, but most assuredly cleaner. Ian, I resized my pics before loading to PB and it still came out to 680? I will get it right and obey the guidelines! Evil
Oops, You are bragging about having so many of them. Some of us have not! My greedy green guts are a eye'n your little pot! Rob
Robert, An absolutely first class job on fettling that double burner, way to go. All this talk of kettles makes me long for a brew, but I'm in work now, so no time for stove fun Spudz
Morning, Robert, Yes, as Spudz says, an outstanding job on fettling that Campingo!!! Very nice, indeed, Lad!! Spudz, as far as brewing up at work, be like Ed. He's got plenty of shelves at his office, and has installed a few choice stoves. So, anytime he wants a brew-up, he just clears off his desk, and fires up a stove, and brews up his favorite beverage!!!! What's that, Ed? Fire alarms??? Sprinkler systems???? Never HEARD of 'em!!!!!! Take care, and God Bless! Every Good Wish, Doc Mark
Great looking stove HTG. I also like the combination of bright red with polished brass. After you have used your red stove to boil water in a red kettle . . . . . . What better than to brew some refreshing tea in a bright red teapot. (KitKat is chocolate wafer biscuit - this pot was a promotional idea)
Hey, Tevor, Very neat little tea pot!! Yes, around her, "Kit Kat" is a candy bar. But, around here, it's also a famous strip club, called "The Kit Kat Club", where sumptuous ladies will disrobe for your entertainment!!! (Hummmmm, I wonder if they serve tea there....??) 8-[ Take care, and God Bless! Every Good Wish, Doc Mark
Munch Munch !! mm yust munch hab to munch chew meat munch anubber chew munch meace munch chomp to munch mbe sure chomp munch Yep, it's a biscuit ! It's a bar ! It's a biscuit ! It's a bar ! ........... spudz
Good Morning, Brothe Trevor, You wrote: "(KitKat is chocolate wafer biscuit - this pot was a promotional idea)" You are 100% correct in that, Lad! It all comes down to semantics. Most of the time, in the US, if a "treat" has chocolate around it, it's considered, by most, to be a "candy-bar", or a "cookie". Yes, a Kit Kat IS a chocolate wafer biscuit, but I have never thought of it as that, even though that description definitely tells more than my "candy-bar" name!! More important that that, however, is that it's now time for my second cup of Earl Grey. And, after your wonderful photos of the chocolate wafer biscuit, I WANT ONE, AND I WANT ONE VERY BADLY!!!!! Take care, and God Bless! Every Good Wish, Doc Mark
Give me a break, give me a break, break me off a piece of that Kit Kat bar.... Sung to the tune of something or other!
