Very nice job, HTG, and also, I like the fire-engine read and brass tank! You may just have started a "thing" here on CCS! Now, all you need is a nice red kettle like Trangia used to offer, and you're right up town!! I'll post a photo of my red kettle, if you haven't seen one. It's running on Coleman Camp Fuel. It does about the same with Kerosene but with just a few orange streaks in the flame. With the Alcohol jet and restrictor it makes a very nice light blue flame that I believe is hotter than the petrol flame. It turns the burner cherry red much quicker anyway.

 

Spot on, a fine colour !

 

It looks very attractive in red, well done.

A tripod, or at least a steady support for your camera will help to make blurred pictures a thing of the past.

I love that red and brass effect. Looks a treat. I might have to do that to one of my stoves and see for myself. I have a hard time thinking that the meths are burning hotter, but most assuredly cleaner.

Spudz, as far as brewing up at work, be like Ed. He's got plenty of shelves at his office, and has installed a few choice stoves. So, anytime he wants a brew-up, he just clears off his desk, and fires up a stove, and brews up his favorite beverage!!!! What's that, Ed? Fire alarms??? Sprinkler systems???? You are 100% correct in that, Lad! It all comes down to semantics. Most of the time, in the US, if a "treat" has chocolate around it, it's considered, by most, to be a "candy-bar", or a "cookie". Yes, a Kit Kat IS a chocolate wafer biscuit, but I have never thought of it as that, even though that description definitely tells more than my "candy-bar" name!! More important that that, however, is that it's now time for my second cup of Earl Grey. And, after your wonderful photos of the chocolate wafer biscuit, I WANT ONE, AND I WANT ONE VERY BADLY!!!!!
