So, in checking my spares before leaving on holiday, I found a need, not pressing, but needed just the same, for some spare jets for my Monitor C11 kero stove.

Alas, with such a small time window, having some jets do the backstroke across the pond would be out of the question, so I took a gamble on ordering some from St Paul Mercantile, got here in good time, but...

The good news? The the thread pitch and diameter are spot on, with no problems with fit up, couldn't be better!

The bad news? The wrench they sell for the jets are sod all useless! I went through the other wrenches and found one much closer in fit, a pass or two with a file on a wrench and it's all well. Next time, I'll go with a pass or three across the wrench flats on the jet, easier to work with, being brass and all.

So, for those of us here in the Colonies, file this away against future needs on short notice!
