I don't know if it has been posted here before but I came across a paper from the University of Johannesburg which describes the testing of a variety of paraffin stoves in order to determine the criteria for improved future designs.
They tested wick stoves, pressure stoves (e.g. Primus #5 etc.) and 'camping stoves' (e.g. MSR Dragonfly etc.).

The chapter I found most interesting (chapter 5) can be seen at - http://ujdigispace.uj.ac.za:8080/dspace/bitstream/10210/2560/10/Chapter 5 Stove Testing.pdf

    - and the complete set of files for the whole paper at - http://ujdigispace.uj.ac.za:8080/dspace/handle/10210/2560

A lot of reading but some quite interesting data and formulae (chapter 7 for instance) for the more technically minded 'stovie'.

    Dave.

    Yes - been posted before.
Not an easy read for me. I did find the Primus 5 section interesting when they finally stated the stove (made by Cadac under licence from Primus) is actually steel made to look like brass.

Anybody know if a Parasafe is available for purchase through the web? I've never encountered one on ebay. I'd love to buy one (plus the heater).

If is so safe, I wonder why they chose to use cadmium plating on the caps?

Cadmium plating is not a direct contributor wooden shanty towns burning down with loss of life and severe burns. Stoves being knocked over is.

    Cheers, Graham.
