Back yard cooking on Enders 9061. Have an Enders 9065D twin in the mail so thought I would use this one to refresh myself with fine German cookers. Had some leftover rice and added some chilis from garden an yes that is a hot dog! Really a good combo for rice bowl breakfast and will be doing it again. Thinking the 9065D might have same burner? FYI was confirmed here that yellow numbers on outside of case was the plate number for the vehicle this stove was assigned to. Daryl SoCal

Used my Optimus No. 7S to cook up some Tamale Pie outdoors. Always wonder what these stoves have cook in their past.

Here is a basic recipe. last time I made it on Coleman 500 I used 2C masa and seemed a bit much. This time I used 1C masa and seemed a bit skimpy so next time will try 1-1/2C masa. Careful under broiler can get extra browned very quick!

Here's some shots of a couple of stoves, Primus 77 and Optimus 111 on a couple of days' bivvy and caravan (permanent on friend's little piece of Kent UK land) along with beef short rib cooked on scant embers slowly. The stoves took care of breakfast and water heating. That was a nice weekend! The boot of[ the car was well stacked with kit which all had a good run out. Thanks so much. Now that is the proper way to camp for a couple days. Lucky you to have a friend so you can get out in the wild. Cooking on your Primus 77 sure looks to be a special treat. Very jealous. I see you have a great selection of lanterns. Must have been a very memorable trip to give each one their turn. Might add, great photos, truly captures the action. Please post often, talents like yours need to be shared. thanks Daryl

It was a rainy day so lunch was done inside. Decided to test my Optimus 22.

@Daryl always nice photos... Thinking of doing the same with my small collection. Got a question for you... What stamp is on the square cast iron I've seen you used a few times? Just curious who made it. I dug through my mom's old cast iron after seeing your pan and that's a Griswold... Fits better on camp stoves.. Maybe thats what they're made for haha

@Daryl yep....thats the one! thanks for the clarification on the pan!

Now...I need to know what that coleman stove you have in the photo with the single burner that looks kind of like a 425. Never seen one like that and in the photo it looks like you have 2 slightly different single burner coleman stoves. What model is that?
