    Here is my Optimus 22 on cooking duty.

    1st time I tried this recipe.
    Pearl couscous with spinach, peas, pesto, bacon strips and a beer. It was very tasty!
    1st you cook the couscous and fry the bacon.
    Take a sip from the beer!

    When the bacon is done, remove it from the pan and take a sip from the beer.
    IMG_20240512_181959_HDR.jpg
    And fry the pees and spinach leaves in the juices left from the bacon. You can also add 2 or 3 spring onions for some extra taste.
    And of-course, take a sip from your beer.

    When done, add the couscous and pesto. Fry it for a few minutes.
    Beer -> sip

    Bon appetit!

    Oh and don't forget to grab a new beer ;)
    And for those who don't drink alcohol, any other beverage will suffice :D

    Shrimp & Grits on green bean Sunday. Used the 412B with cast iron burners which I try to always try to use CI on. Stove always does a good job. BTW that was 1-1/2 cups dry grits which was 1/2 cup too much.

    Quick and tasty breakfast on Russian Pt2 Ogonek stove. Using precooked meat and potatoes. Do believe both highly processed foods fall into those food group?

    I only ever boiled eggs or warmed soup with my m1950. But im very curious to learn about making this pea protein concentrate soup which is very historical!

    Reminiscent of the 'portable soup' that was staple seaman's fare in the age of fighting sail.

    Thanks @Cookie. I am amazed myself at times how well these stoves can perform. These stoves have also made a lot of good memories for us all.

    Little bit of a downpour and the power flickered for a second so i figured lets throw on some chicken & sausage gumbo on my "new" 425e from 1978. Might aswell give her a shakedown before a real hurricane hits. IMG_20240629_154953566.jpg
