The stack pack jars are okay as well, but a little large, plus not airtight. Found them in the fishing section:

Great cooking pix, Warrior. I, too, like the Swedish mess kit a lot. Here's one some years ago; hot chocolate in the snow:

Emberlit, again. Used a flint and steel, and pocket bellows to get fire going:

Camping another time. Wife made homemade apple sauce, and I carved up a quick spoon for her to use. Apple sauce, bacon, and freshly grated hash browns:

An easy Christmas dinner on the Florida Gulf Coast, some fresh caught gulf shrimp and a Handy Gas Plant 457G to boil the pot.

Trangia 25 Duossal using the nova burner cooking roast beef and cheddar on sourdough out in the wilderness. Each sandwich weighs about 1.5lbs. This was back in April of this year.

Here we are, making coffee on the beach on Little Misery Island, while out sailing earlier this fall. The stove is the Silver Fire Scout, powered by the Trangia alcohol burner. My mess box is a vintage waxed cardboard Miller case. The dog is Chewie. He got too old to hike so I had to buy a sail boat for him.

To be fair Ken I'm not entirely sure Trevor would have added much to this thread. :)

He may have been a competent cook but I don't think I would have taken pictures of it at Newark. To be honest my cooking there probably leaves a lot to be desired as well.

Today was red beans and rice with andouille sausage on the Trangia 25 with nova burner. Fuel was mixture of old CF and Kero from coleman lanterns that I recently purchased.

@pjs Nice. I spent many a year in NW Nevada.
