Hi, there have been a couple of posts recently from CCS members regarding storage bags for their stoves.
I thought I would show you one of mine:

These waterproof bags are manufactured, in the Highlands of Scotland, from coated nylon rip-stop DPM camouflage fabric. They have 2mm cord and nylon cord lock. The bags are double seamed for extra strength.

The bag has sufficient room to allow a cleaning cloth or foam pad to be included with the Op 111 stove. In addition the fold-out handle of the stove can be gripped securely though the fabric for carrying.

Now, if I can just remember where I set the stove down......

    Best Regards,
    Kerophile.

Haha, yeah I always wondered why camo material is so popular in non-combat, non-Halloween and non-hunting activities. You'd think the fluorescent, UV reflective/high-vis would be more sought after (although a bright red Scottish Plaid/Tartan would suffice in that case). Nice tough carry bag material though.

So, if I ever come over, I will have to look very hard for that stove as it will not be readily visible. :content: :content: :content:

    Hi,

I have a similar bag which contains my British Army mess tins with a mess tin lid which is wrapped in an old headover before inserting them into the bag.
This fitted into my webbing pouch during my army reserve (TA) days & a bergen side pocket when with the cadets, it could be argued that I don't need camouflage anymore although the kit is still in good serviceable condition, (Mess tins are 70 years old) so why not.

    Best wishes=John.

    If in doubt, brew up.

PS, The bag for the Optimus 80 was sold as a half mess tin bag.

There is a Korean seller that sells paddled carry cases for the Optimus 111 stove series. They are khaki and the dimensions are exactly those of the 111 boxes, so I use it for my Hiker+. I am now looking for something that I can use to protect my Optimus 22, so any similar sugestion is welcomed.

Forgot to mention that the guy is on eBay in case you are looking for it. Again, similar suggestions for my Optimus 22 are welcomed :-)

I just discovered that Optimus made very similar cases for the Optimus 111. Therefore the Korean case has to be an Optimus 111 paddled case1.jpg Optimus 111 paddled case2.jpg Optimus 111 paddled case3.jpg imitation.

Optimus did source the accessory padded carry bags for both 111 and 8R size stoves in Korea, so the similarities are most likely not accidental.

I found out that TimTas_rek's bicycle handlebarbag is quite handy for Optimus 111. IMG_20211002_213341.jpg
