    @Tony Press idea is good. I am not sure that he uses gas, or just alcohol to prehet. Try preheating twice.

    I use 95% ethanol to prime my Svea 123s. The wick concentrates the heat closer to the burner. In the temperatures I usually use them one heat is enough; very cold I’d use two.

    They always get to helicopter speed quicker with a pot on top and out of the wind.

    Or it may be plugged between the valve and under the nipple.
    Remove the nipple and you will see.

    pasted the generator threads upon reassembly....

    That is yellow brass to yellow brass, so it would not really need sealant. Yellow brass is soft and flows. Tighten until it squeeks and stop. It's always worked for me that way.

    This may be true, but the 123 requires that the valve be positioned at the "1" of the "123" on the tank for use of the valve with the windscreen on.
