I’ve just received a Svea 123R which I took a risk on as it was very cheap. I already have another so this was bought more as a potential repair project.

It’s definitely been somewhat abused in its life: all but one of the pots have been replaced with bent nails, its pot is missing and it has its fair share of dents.

More concerning however is that I suspect it may have been overheated.
The wick was rattling around inside the tank and it turns out it’s still inside the bottom of the riser which has become unsoldered. The bottom of the tank also appears to be bowed out, it’s very even but I’m guessing this is due to the tank over pressurising?
