Pharael and Remus1956, thank you for your appreciation of my work. Although I understand that my skills are definitely far from what's required for our work (for example, I don't yet have any soldering skills). Remus1956 asked if the primus stove works. Yes, it works fine with or without the windshield. Perhaps due to an incorrect translation, the phrase "doesn't light" came out instead of "didn't light," meaning it wasn't used to begin with. Although some details were lost.
@Andrey Sevastopol mine didnt at first. I did a trick that I have fixed coil stoves with and it works sometimes. I go to an auto parts store and get "carburetor cleaner" in an aerosol can. I sprayed and filled the tank about half full and screwed the tank cap on, after putting it to rest in the sun. The tank pressurized and shot all sorts of old gunk out of mine, and used compressed air to push out the rest by putting the air into the tank with a rubber stopper. Mine will now leak fuel while I hold it and warm the tank really well. I like your windscreen...you should sell them online...people are always missing them..
Pharael, I'll do it soon. Remus1956, you had a good idea about cleaning the coil with compressed air. And, of course, the fuel should flow out when gently heated in the palm of your hand. This is a standard feature of coil torches. I had an issue with a Fury coil torch, where when I heated the coil and tank with a gas torch, it took 3-4 minutes for it to reach full power. The seal was good and the coil opening was clean. I had to unsolder the tank, replace the wick, and send it off for soldering/assembly. It was a real pain. Now it leaks when heated by hand. Regarding sales... In my case, reproducing the missing parts was quite labor-intensive. Therefore, mass-producing this doesn't make sense for me. And there's no demand. In our area, the Taykit is a rare beast.
As promised, here are some photos of the work. Along with Taykit, I launched the Fury, Blitz, and Montagnino. First without diffusers, then with them. The Italian-made Montagnino and Blitz were produced without diffusers. I decided to make my own. Diffuser materials: copper, brass, and stainless steel. The Fury has a tarnished finish, darkened by renovations.
For the Blitz, I made a spring-loaded plug for the hole, as the standard one (clip-on) doesn't seal properly.
By the way, the Montagnino and Blitz jars/cases are the same size (+/-). Also, with some skill, I was able to fit the curtain inside the Taykit case.
I forgot to mention that Montagnino used a pipe from an old, broken Renault 21 Nevada radiator for the diffuser. The internal diameter was the right size.
These aren't all the coil stoves I have. I like coil burners, among other things. So, the so-called "stove pox" in my case has metastasized in various directions.
Thanks, Pharael. The link won't open for me. Perhaps I don't have some additional rights. But I have instructions downloaded from the internet, specifically from the CCS website.
