this is why a separate tank and burner is in fact the safest design setup for a liquid fuel burner. and I would make it law to use solid fuel line like in car brakes with a flame arrester. even if it does "start to blow up" at least the flame will not get to the main fuel tank. very especially important if using gasoline! I wouldn't be that sure about kerosene either! optimus nova is proof optimus engineers know how to build safe things.
I'm reconsidering about using anymore the Shmel-2 stove! what if any failure happens in this one?! 700 ml of burning gasoline all over me?! I had barely few ml on my left hand on fire and it wasn't fun. even after a month still wasn't "fun"...
Just seen this in a recording and here at CCS. I know nothing of the validity of the situation or the repair except that both Ricochet’s (Production company) and the BBC legal departments will not have released the device if it wasn’t safe (or totally disabled.)
