@Rodger Willows & @shueilung.2008 I did some more fiddling today and I've got it going far better. I adjusted the gap in the coil as suggested by @shueilung.2008; put a viton seal on the filler cap, and fiddled around with the coils abit. Initially flaming too much out one side. Getting the gap correct in the coil. It's going great guns now. I will do some conservation on the cylinder it cam in and make this a shelf queen. Cheers Tony
@Tony Press It's lookin' like you've done a wonderful job! I couldn't thing of a better fettler for this little gem! Rodger
Returning to my first-ever Stove Reference Gallery posting... Today I thoroughly enjoyed reading the @Sedgman article regarding Companion Stoves Variations (and blowlamps), both of which I have several! Companion Stoves Variations In that article was a link to "Blowlamp News" produced by the Blowlamp Society: http://www.blowlampsociety.com/BN94.pdf In the biography of the author (Arthur McNamara) I noted reference to four ("a few rare Australian blow lamps shown in the foreground") - "Spitfire" blowlamps. Further investigation of the Blowlamp Society webpage under "Australian Blowlamps" AUSTRALIAN BLOWLAMPS reveals that there were three known manufacturers of Spitfire Blowlamps: It appears to me to be quite plausible to assume that this little Spitfire Portable Stove now residing with @Tony Press, would have been manufactured by one of them?
