Greetings all! I am very happy to report that I am the proud owner of #BD11 and #BD12 mini-dampers to be deployed on my 123R(s). They will make for a nice silent cup of coffee while on my bike rides down here on the Gulf of Mexico. I won't be annoying the alligators or bird watchers any longer while I make my java or lunch on the trail! Workmanship is truly beautiful. My hat is off to Mr. G for his craftsmanship. I would never be able to accomplish such a beautiful addition to my cook tools: Fit was fine after I was able to pry off the plate from the burner head. Seems stable enough to me: A truly beautiful image! But the real benefit, aside from being able to achieve a nice simmer, is the sound reduction. Why aren't these dampers more popular? Hey, it's always five o'clock somewhere down here on the Gulf, but I fancied a nice cup of instant Vietnamese cafe: And in short order, there it is! Now I'll be able to sear and simmer with a bit finer control than using the OEM burner! Thanks! And I would have never known about these wonderful additions to my stable of stoves without the kindness and sharing of information, expertise, and mechanical ability on this Web site. [off doing a 'Happy Happy, Joy Joy!' dance]
Linux, that looks good, even better than I imagined, wish I didn't live so far away, my patience level is low. The Post office is brewing up for a strike here, just our luck on this side of the pond to get delays in delivery. These caps are going to be heir looms. In years to come, there will be debate about their origin.
they are quite lovely! this is only making my anticipation even worse! ...and they are numbered????!!!!!
I got BD37 today and it's so pretty I almost don't want to use it! I'm suprised at how heavy it is. I don't think we have to worry about it jostling around in the burner. BEAUTIFUL job Gary!
I got mine today, it looks like Fine Jewelry! Many thanks, Gary ! I also figured Gary had gone 'Above and Beyond' in making these caps, so I 'Hit the Beer Button' ...
Mine (No.'s 15 and 16) arrived today as well. Works like a charm in my 8R. They are absolutely beautiful. This might be the excuse I need to purchase another SVEA 123. Thanks Gary! Steve
So they are in fact numbered? Wow, one for the historical archives 50 years from now! The Limited Edition Silent Burners.........will make sure my grand children will keep it and perhaps benefit from it if Ebay is still there. Good thinking Gary Ron
Hi Great silent caps for the 123 and 8. I would like to buy some for my own stoves. Is that possible? Regards Jens
Stevo, sorry I guess you are right hitting the beer button before the send button. What was I thinking! Ha! Must be the stress I am experiencing this week. Must get away from work. Calling in sick tomorrow. Ron
Hey Willie, so Fred is domesticated or just a casual guest at your place? You said "friend" so is it safe to say they dont bite? Ron
Hey Matt, do you actually fire your SVEA? Looks to me like its never been fired or always cleaned up. Ron
