    I am considering a gas/LP/Propane genuine Trangia burner $150 or a clone that is widely advertised for $50 including postage. The Trangia one looks very good Swedish quality. Has anyone tried the other and is it acceptable quality? It is for a Trangia 27 set.

    @Sedgman

    There's a " Trangia Lovers " forum or channel online. There's a few different burners and bottles to suit. Cheers.

    @Sedgman I bought one off Amazon for $30 CAD in 2022 and it works very well, no complaints. I forget the brand, but there are half a dozen brands you've never heard of selling the same item for a similar price.

    That said, I prefer using the spirit burner when cooking on a trangia, and have never used a Trangia brand gas burner.

    If you buy the current generation trangia burner you can rely on it burning gas well with the canister inverted.
    Not certain the clones can accomplish that. The previous generation trangia burner was a coin toss in that regard, and I guess most clones are more similar to that.

    Thanks @pysen78 , @GibsonsRavinePark2 ,

    I had a good look at the photos of the burner on each and they look similar. Its only for occasional use so I am chancing the cheaper one due to the large price difference.
