    Hi Som,

Thanks for the photos. It looks easy, but I'm not sure if the MF will work the same way. Does the Trangia amplify the sound of the roarer burner? My stove is pretty loud as it is.

    Cheers,

    Manny

It's actually get pretty quiet especially when you place pod/pan on the top. I think that the MF is much less noise compare with the SVEA 123/ Optimus 99. Those continue to be loud, even with pod/pan on the top.

Use it quite several times now with both propane & kerosene. So far so good.

    Cheers.....Som

Popped one into a Trangia clone, VERY hot burner, very good simmer, and very quiet compared to the Nova / Omnifuel.

    nice one rik
looks to be running peachy, mine has been delivered now i have to find a burner and get a nova pump and fuel line, you sound happy with it,and it certainly looks to be running nice, how did you get on with the fuel line adaptor? as i was surprised it didn't have a way to grip it when you do it up tight, did you need tools to tighten it up enough?

Runs fantasticly well, I added the last two pictures just now to let you see the burner going. With this conversion, once fitted, it stays fitted until you want to change it back and you will need a leatherman or spanner. This is my forth multifuel stove/Trangia-clone conversion and given how quiet it is, it looks to be my favorite to date.

I must give thanks to Gunnar Finn, "Mr Kap Arctic" for a great idea:)

I've been running an Explorer burner in a Trangia from butane. I've found it's a bit underpowered running on the "G" jet. Goes fine on the "A" jet, though.

    Greetings, All,

A tip 'O the hat to Richard, for turning me on to this thread! Great idea, and I'm certainly up for giving it a try! One question, however: How do you fill the spirit cup with Meths? Looks like a dicey procedure, from the photos. Thanks, again, Richard. Much appreciated! Take care, and God Bless!

    Every Good Wish,
    Doc

I pour alcohol over the burner, this drips through to the cup underneath. 99 time out of a hundred you just light the top of the burner and it catches underneath. Mines going to its first camp on 1st August :)

I know this is an old thread but it seems to get a lot of visits .
what a fantasic stove , a lightweight proven design with a good solid burner and cook kit added ,
Ok made by different manufactures but a true classic makes you wonder why it never sold in vast number .
