Your welcome Mark, its one of those setups that seem 'right' like the Sigg Tourist set and the 8, its a perfect match.

    Hi folks,

I found this listning at eBay. Note that the seller has stolen our idea how to fit Optimus burner into the Trangia windscreen. This is NOT the original product, and if you respect the original work, do not purchase that set.

    Hi, Keron,

Thanks, VERY much, for letting us know about this. I, for one, would never do business with someone who rips off another person's idea, like this seller appears to have done to you. I can only say, "may he get what he truly deserves".... Take care, and God Bless!

    Every Good Wish,
    Doc

    Greetings, All,

My humble apologies to the seller!!  I THOUGHT it looked like an original, but jumped in before I checked the facts. Again, sorry to have tossed in my two pence, when it certainly wasn't called for in this case. Congrats on whomever scored one of those wonderful adaptors! Take care, and God Bless!

    Every Good Wish,
Doc (who's getting his coat.....)  8-[ 8-[

It was an easy mistake for Keron to make - I mean that kit is so damn good you wouldn't expect anyone to buy one & then sell it unused :)

Plus Tim is such a good photographer he makes his ebay snaps look like catalogue pictures. :)

    Hi All
I bought two plates from Finland a couple of months ago.
The second we had a Idea for it..... but had second thoughts hence the sale.
We had no intention to make a profit on the plate. That is why it went up as a buy now Price.
    Cheers Tim

    Hi, Tim,

Good to hear from you. Once again, I offer my sincere apology, Sir. I went off half-cocked, without checking the facts, and shot myself in the... well, let's say I'm very sorry for having made a fool of myself, and for having been off the mark so much. Thanks, again, for setting the record straight, and God Bless!

    Every Good Wish,
    Doc

I was at my local favorite consignment store the other day. They looked to have an orignal gas burner kit for a Trangia. Is that what you folks are talking about? It had hoses and burner and such.

This ingenious 2 piece kit allows you to remove the burner from your 111t, and then mount it in a trangia windscreen... the disk holds the burner in the hole designed for the spiritburner. The little brass thingo mates the fuel input tube to either a nova or primus fuel tube and pump assembly. It's a simple idea that makes you think... 'duh why didn't I think of that!?'

    No,
The gas adapter/burner for the Trangia is common enough; gas in this case meaning butane/propane or a mix thereof.
