Saved a turm 36. I want to know when they were biult. How they work and what I need to get this thing back up and cooking. This post seems to be helping me with the working part. When was the 36 made?
welcome to the Forum! Howdy, neighbor! ( I live in Lompoc...) Turm's are made in Germany. Never saw a 36, but there are several 38's in the reference section.
Welcome aboard the Ship of Pyros(Tm) If you live in California this place will come as no surprise. Don't know the 36, had a 38. A photo would be hugely helpful Just noticed the tag line on your posts, Baja, how do I join? I'm sick of the gummint satellites stealing my thoughts.
I saw my Tum 36 last in operation in 1966/7 thereabouts. Searching my memory I think the tank boiled. Which is a problem when either the wick gets blocked or the tank runs dry. At that point it was put aside as it was thought to be dangerous. Until a salvaged it 2 years ago.
