Hello to all! Long time I reads this forum, which helps me fettle my stoves well. But now is time to my first post here. On a local web-flea market I bought unusual kero stove. I've never heard about stoves of that type made in former Soviet Union, so I think that it was come from abroad. Its looks like there two sets of parts - one is a tank, pan holder (frame), pressure relise screw and spirit cup and second is parts, borrowed from old Soviet-made Record stove - a tank filler cap, burner and pump. Burner from an old Record, which uses imperial (non-metric) thread. Also one strange point - burner feeding tube is not screwed to tank, but soldered. I will be very grateful, if anybody can help me to identify of that stove. PS: Pictures of parts in condition as they arrived.
Hello Focus, welcome to this site. Your stove resembles a Primus 503 stove, or the similar looking 507 when the model 4047 burner, exclusive to it, was introduced. Whether you appreciate the looks of this stove or not, they are very practical, sturdy and stable stoves with a practical fuel supply. Regular or even continued use did see frequent replacement of the burner, with the not-so practical 4047 often replaced with a regular model either in roarer or silent version. I do think your stove is a copy, perhaps made locally or from any other region where these stoves are still used daily. I myself have a well-used mongrel 507 (indeed with a replaced burner) that serves me fine in my cabin. Regards, Mike
