I stumbled across this stove today on eBay.uk
(Don't know what I was doing there. Must have been a browser accident)

What the heck is this stove for?
It's marked Svea 100 and the long gooseneck seems to be stock.
    For heating a bathtub?
    Making Swedish moonshine?

It was a special for the Middle East market. I suspect for cooking on pots hanging from a tripod. Crazy thing with these - as the fuel levels runs down it tips over as the weight of the burner increases in relation to the tank.

You'd of thought they would have a burner support (prop to stop it tipping) of some sort wouldn't you :-k
Guess you can pack it up with a brick or something

There are threads here about the owners making some supports for them. I think it was @hikerduane.

You do not need the long line, that was an extra. As you can see in the picture, it was equipped to work as a regular stove as well.

I made one of these out of bits and pieces . See it in Frankeys.
Works well , made a windshield for hanging a Dutch oven on a tripod.

    Cheers

If this was made for a tripod, why not just raise the pot hook up the chain a few more inches and use a regular burner? The extension looks like trouble waiting to happen.

Tripod legs not wide enough for pot to go much higher before clashing + More fun??
It's a plumber's delight all right but can't help thinking there's a lot of fuel in that pipe.
No reason that's a problem apart from it must create air space in the tank after filling up the pipe.
I also wonder whether it syphons if the tank valve is left open?

Tank over heating would be a concern under a big pot directly above. That's mitigated using the extension.
