whoever invented the freezer test, thank you

    I read it here somewhere, to find a leak, put your stove in the freezer for 20 minutes (open the fuel cap). Then close the fuel cap and submerge in a warm water bath.

    Voila. Now I know why my Swedish model 8 isn't working !
    Fuel cap gasket bubbles away.

    If I preheat and light it I get a great flame for about 20 seconds, then it slowly dies down to a flicker and goes out.

    New gaskets are on the way, not here yet.
    I'm learning, thanks to you guys.

    By the way: now I want a one pint stove which burns Kero.
    The pox seems highly infectious.

    I don't even use the freezer, I just put it in warmer water than ambient and it works for me.

    Yup, you have it, Paul. Only known cure is liberal doses of Optimus 00, works for me...

    and a 2 pint kero and a lipstick burner and a multi burner (both suitcase and kitchen range) and some meth stoves and a few multifuels and........
