Hallo heren. ik heb hier al een tijdje een radius 19. vooral die voetjes vind ik nergens. die brander is niet compleet, weet zelfs niet of die orgeneel is.
Hi, You are right about the burner. It is a German Juwel "L" burner as shown e..g. here. Very nice stove!!
The feet on your Radius No.19 look very much like those on this Lux No.9 stove: pre-1914 Lux #9 Best Regards, Kerophile.
Dank U Janders. inderdaad daar staat ook die brander op. Fijn om te weten, ga ik maar zoeken voor die brander onderdelen. Groet. Jos
dank U Kerofiel. In feite de zelfde pootjes. Onder bij die naam, staat een 8.zal wel niet veel voorstellen. Groet. Jos
Yeah..... I wouldn't get my hopes up very high. I have not seen any available last 4 years... Besides, that burner is too high - would require very long potrests, which in turn gives you an unstable stove...
Hallo @joshua , An interesting No.19 you share with us today (a collapsible with fixed feet) and the only example like it in the gallery . I'm pleased you posted it and doubly pleased you are a subscriber and can refer to catalogs, thank you, thank you. The Radius model #s and model development can be confusing incl. the 19. I can "try" to maybe make sense of 1920 models (re the collapsible w/folding feet), the 1920 catalog models No.s : roarers ........... .55 L ~ .7L ~ 1L, 1.2L = No.s 11 ~ 12 ~ 13 ~ 14 roarers in a tin: .55 L ~ .7L ~ 1L, 1.2L = No.s 21 ~ 22 ~ 23 ~ 24 silents ............ .55 L ~ .7L ~ 1L, 1.2L = No.s 16 ~~ 17 ~~ 18 ~~ 19 silent burners .. .55 L ~ .7L ~ 1L, 1.2L = No.s D437~D437~D537~D537 re silents: Radius "UFO"s are popular, the 437 -and- 537 (537 on yours). Here is but one thread on topic credit boknasild. Note the 1920 No. 19 listed above, check it in the catalog, does it seem that the only difference between your 19 and that one are your fixed feet? With focus only on: that the type of feet changed ... the design development of your model... now consider what happens next, by the time Radius published the 1925 catalog they adopted the use of your type of feet. I did mention Radius models are confusing... the 1925 catalog does not offer your model No. 19. That 1925 catalog does not offer that entire line of silent models: No.s 16 ~ 17 ~ 18 ~ nor 19 . I will stop there. If my speculation holds, that is where your version of Radius No. 19 belongs, Your version of no.19 may be pre 1925 catalog? (circa 1921 - 1924) We do know for sure it is pre 1932, by then Radius offered a very different (discus) version of the No. 17 & 19 (albeit the 19 still a collapsible silent w/UFO burner). ---------------------------------------------------- PS caveat, it is not 100% certainty, i go by what we can ref. in the library. In future maybe it's possible we see your exact 19 illustrated in another catalog (c.1925-1931) although that does not seem likely to me.
Hallo @ OMC dat is een heel interessant stuk.heel erg bedankt er voor. Ik ga de 19 maar beter even rusten, tot ik een goede brander er voor vind. Groet Joshua
@joshua said Hi @ OMC that's a very interesting piece. thank you very much for it. I'd better rest the 19 until I find a good burner for it.
