Anyone know what grade of gauze is used in the strainer in the 96 vapouriser. I've just got hold of a 1931 Primus 96 but the strainer is missing. Looking on ebay I'm guessing 60 (37SWG) or 80 (39SWG). Thanks in advance.

Just ordered some gauze for pipes in brass that may work. Not sure about the grade.

It's a quite fine but not extremely fine brass gauze - the main thing is to enlarge the vapourization area, not filtering the fuel - it should have a firm fit in the "lipstick" to work properly.
