Here is my Standard 43 from Høvik Verk. Prewar. I need original toolkey an users manual to get it completed . Some rubbing and polishing on the old paint got me as near as possible to the right color. It was of course necessary to use high temp paint. If you look at my pictures, the one when it stands on the round table, is how its look when I found it.
Thank you for nice words Afterburner! I tried the burner before shining and painting, so it should not be used as a stove , for years to come, itsfits well in my small collection.
Very fine restoration of a true classic @Skauvill Funny how something so colourful from the ‘black and white film’ era looks more contemporary to our own times than back then. John
You certainly got the colour absolutely right. It’s just a pyschological thing of being conditioned by movies and documentary footage of seeing the past in black and white. Same with pre-war cars that didn’t follow the Henry Ford “any colour as long as it’s black” rule. See them at a classic car rally and they have the capacity to shock!
Afterburner! I do have some! Not all of them are rare or something near that. But I have a few, so maybe some shows up on this forum
