I have a question that I need your help. I want to install my 111C in the 8R box without knowing whether the 8R fuel tank matches the oil pipeline interface of the 111C burner. Thank you very much.
Good day to you Sir, I am sorry to say that a 111 burner has different screw thread fitting, and is designed to operate with a pump, which is built into the 111 tank. Also the 8R burner uses a wick to feed fuel through to the burner. I don't think your idea is going to work, sorry. Simon Foxxx
I have a 199. Since I saw someone on youtube whose r10 was a copper fuel tank, I was wondering if I could change it
Hmm...I seem to remember one of the posters here ( D Day) did some fun stuff with 8 rs or 111s....custom work in cut down peak 1 containers. You might get some ideas there....
Hi kerophile You can always find the most appropriate literature and provide the most accurate help. This is just the article I need. Thank you very much. Talk about my idea, in the cold region in outdoor use for many times, I think 111 c is the most strong burner, it has no thin pipe, preheating may be slower, but when it is hot, difficult to cooling, can be in our here - 24 ℃ cold climates use low fire for cooking. Chinese people like low-fire cooking, so that they can enjoy the flavor. The heaviest item is 111c in its original box, because the furnace head is too low, the burning of the flame will have a great loss, although it is very hot, as hot as 111T. Therefore, I think the furnace head of 111C is more suitable for 8r box. My English is very poor, I can only use the translation software,I'm sorry。
Optimus 10 Ranger is the same burner (with shorter pipe) as 111C, in the same case as 8R. The pipe to the burner has to be shorter to the smaller space in the case, that also mean shorter distance from the burner to the tank, and there are no space for the heat shield, so 10 Ranger was only meant for kerosene.

Didn't Bernie Dawg at Blue Water make a modification for the 8R tank (retrofit sil-braze fitting) to accept the fuel line from the 111 burner ? I seem to remember some machine lathe fittings with modified pickup tube. A far better solution than my hack job. This was a fun project and I made some good friends in the process.
Hi @anlrolfe see this post: https://classiccampstoves.com/threads/frankie-199.17890/ Best Regards, Kerophile.
That's it! Wonder if one of those could be fabbed up or found for someone interested in the project. Personally, my stoving has turned more vanilla with the usage of 111T, No96, SVEA 123 and Trangia28 topping my list over the past years.
