    @gieorgijewski

What does the pump look like on that Primus No. 1 “Patent” “System” stove?

Hmmm, I did see one of them, but it was much battered and incomplete shape. :)
    Nice work on that one

    Cheers

Excellent stove and photos of it, Gieorgijewski!
That no.19 is a nice stove, so I have posted it for you, and with you as the poster, in the Reference Gallery where it really belongs (Link).

Could you please be so kind and post the stoves that are your own in the Reference Gallery?
I can understand this long thread about interesting things you just see at the internet, but when it is your own stove, like this 19 apparently is, and you have so many good pictures, it's better with a topic of its own in the Ref. Gallery where it will be easy to find in the future.
In this long thread it will just disappear with all others.

it should be a long story, but I can't convey all my emotions in a foreign language.
    So in short:
I bought the first copy, a typical check, commissioning. Work. He went to the shelf.
After half a year - I bought a second one. Again - a typical check, commissioning. Work. He went to the shelf.
    ----------------
    I thought I had two. - Working.
A few weeks ago - the first - when trying to work dry pump skin. In the field - I launched as self-propelled. "It will be time to improve it."
Well, we're improving - it turned out that he lost fuel.
    "definitely NRV" - I think.
    manual grinding of a 4 x 3 mm rubber seal (!!!)
    cutting the lead seal
done - test - there is compression - flame
    !!! I can't put out the flame ...
    ($$$ ^ * (* (* _ @ ##)
The main valve does not close.
    Disassembly, cleaning.
Assembly, needle positioning. test - wrong
Assembly, needle positioning. test - wrong
Assembly, needle positioning. test - wrong
Assembly, needle positioning. test - works
    the valve closes the pressure
    fire test
    works - like weaker regulation
    !!! I can't put out the flame ...
    again
    Disassembly, cleaning.
Assembly, needle positioning. test - wrong
Assembly, needle positioning. test - wrong
Assembly, needle positioning. test - works
opening valve closing - not working
    ($$$ ^ * (* (* _ @ ##)
    Disassembly, cleaning.
    Assembly, careful needle positioning.
the needle retracts one notch in the work cycle
    I have it
    tooth axis of the valve
no replacement - solution - remove the needle from the burner
    ------------
    "I'm a master" - the valve works
    fire test
    heating with alcohol
    there is compression
    gas is heard
    no flame
    repeat
    same
    "maybe deformed flame ring"
I borrow from the second copy
    fire test
    heating with alcohol
    there is compression
    gas is heard
    no flame
    "what the blazes?"
I'm desperately testing a second copy
    fire test
    heating with alcohol
    there is compression
    gas is heard
    no flame
    ($$$ ^ * (* (* _ @ ##)
I had two working - now none work?
"it must be fuel, heavy fractions etc."
    cleaning
    change of fuel to fresh
    fire test
    heating with alcohol
    there is compression
    gas is heard
    no flame
    ($$$ ^ * (* (* _ @ ##)
    checking the other one
    fire test
    heating with alcohol
    there is compression
    gas is heard
    no flame
    ($$$ ^ * (* (* _ @ ##)
    wall of impossibility ...
    desperation
a time when even "calls to friends" don't solve the problem
    --------------
reflection - "maybe I'll put a windshield on the burner ..."
    S O L V E D
    :))))
    -------------------
In case 111b the windshield is a component of the burner
    and not just an option

    --------------------
    the above took several days
    :))))

Hi @gieorgijewski . The Op.111b is also very fussy about the jet aperture size fitted. Also from above thread:

    hm...
    i was suprised
    properly heated burner
    without windshield
generated "non-flammable gas" (- because he didn't want to ignite and extinguished the flame of the incandescent lighter)

It is probably the result of wrong fuel to air ratio. If the windshield or flame ring do not induce turbulence and mixing the mixture is too fuel-rich to ignite.
    Best Regards,
    Kerophile.

in real it is mixing chamber - with air restrictor function
imo it shold be "one part" with flame ring
