Polaris P-2 stove, instructions, and catalog. (Taiwan) Log in to Facebook Sun Power - recognised production and "who knows" - how many "Made in Taiwan" stove's came from Sun Power ---------- backing to "Precise PHOENIX" - as We see - except FEM - all stoves comes from Sun Power and as mantra added words - "imported Taiwan and Korean stoves" are - not true... Moore - part of SP production was located in US under other brands... @OMC
.... "imported Taiwan and Korean stoves" are - not true... US-made stove being labeled made in Taiwan is bizarre. Without digging I take you at your word but how odd that is. ------------------------ except FEM - all stoves comes from Sun Power <-- THAT is a revelation we should insert when/where appropriate going forward. I'll tap your brain when it comes up. ------------------------------- A "No. R 808" you just thought you would throw that tease in there.. it is what you do. See if we are awake, aye. Link your source if you can, learning more about that one is of interest. Obvious it is not in hand : ( .
at first words - Thank You... You asked about link - imo- is below picture Is- my conclusions wrong? maker - insert his own production at left no 2 and no 3 We know ... Who is producer then no 1 - R 808 - was from the same maker true or false?
yeah... meanwhile familly picture: HWZ "Progress" with KO-8 W-901 with KO-4 W-902 with KO-8 from left to right - in idea /construction order
impressive lineup follow up re your " then no 1 - R 808 - was from the same maker true or false?" I do not know, plenty catalogs include multiple makers. If it is the manufacturer's catalog, still not conclusive but maybe yes.
front wheel with "uncommon" eliptic spring amortisator up frame line design, known from early "Wanderer" - the same - front fender engine with early "blind head"
Your bike is fantastic. The one behind it is the '58, what approx. year is this one? I like it's up frame. You say up frame (sure, up in the front) fwiw it's down in the back. This allows for high in front / mechanical /engine space? or lower seat? or both? Hunch: you may be more (and more) familiar with ye old blind head engine. When / if there is more time on my side I could expand on just this bike. --------------------- I have revisited your R808 btw. Comments/reply there should include 8R copy detail. ---------------------------------- Your conclusion re Taiwan Co. is maker of many rebranded examples is worthy of it's own thread with potential to become complicated and quite large topic/thread with lots of content. I presume we do not know the actual company name as of yet, it wasn't FEM...?
no - FEM is name of hungarian alc stove distributed by Precise Phoenix if I properly understand You are asking about actual name of other Precise Phoenix stoves.... link to the page via facebook Sun Power Co., Ltd. was upper about years, numbers, versions - frame bike, engines - and other - later....
it is not classic... - I know... Maybe some day Will Be... it is not light weight... - But is "one piece construction" and "small enough"... it is gassie... - But cheap in use and good compromise power/time of burning/simmer range/packed size... hmm... - But i like it...
all, @gieorgijewski happy 2023 Lg Markill fuel bottles ok, Lg & small ok but are you familiar with these? i'm thinking both are earlier but unconfirmed. 1 is surely extra large. is 1 or both for fuel? is large one maybe a water canteen? I have them but do not recall discussion / document with details.
Markill seems to was brand only This bottles usual are described as canteen Because liquid fuel stoves by Markill was only episode, fuel bottle with typical canteen lock We count as solvation a technical problem when it was. ----------- Interesting is Markill product range analyse
The two octagonal (hexagonal?) bottles in the bottom picture were definitely sold as water canteens in Germany. I had one during primary school in the seventies. The reddish-brown rubber washers are commonly found on various drinking bottles (even glass beer bottles) in Germany. They may likely not survive extended contact with gasoline or kerosene. If I am not mistaken, the two fuel bottles above have black (viton?) washers instead. Best, Christina
thank you, thank you. That is good to know. The sm 1 came with a German stove and was (improperly) used for fuel by prev. owner.
I'll not be using either canteen (they gotta go). TMI, re: The reddish-brown rubber washers are commonly found on various drinking bottles (even glass beer bottles) in Germany Yes, and that type of simple, pull down/up (close/open) sealing mechanism is used on many vessels & containers. The sm hexagonal container is different in that it has a pull up (to close/seal) lever. This allows for a handy loop on top when closed, good (but not all good). A downside for this one is there is more movement involved and it can easily get stuck out of position. (vs the pull down one is never a problem).
