LATE THERMIDOR MADE RM 1 PINT STOVE

    This stove is fully described HERE but is included here because it was made by Thermidor

    However it might be as well to mention the circumstances of the two brands. Samuel Heath & Son Ltd owned the Thermidor brand and bought the RM company I think in 1952. It still exists and makes tools and ceramic sanitary fittings. At about the time if this stove S H & S were making also making architectural brassware and water taps.

    It appears that when the stove demand reduced the stove manufacture was being done solely in the Thermidor works. The RM company was probably closed down as it appears to have concentrated on paraffin stoves and blow lamps neither of which was in great demand at that time. In hard times parent companies often shut subsidiary companies to concentrate production in one works
