@In The Dark The weak point of most DESCA (and many more) stoves after ww2 is the painting. There was no real heath proof paint finish at that time. After some use the paint is peeling off and rust will eat the stove. Only some more expensive alcohol stoves had the almost ever lasting enamel coating. Your stove was certainly made before the war. The first DESCA stoves has an enamel alloy. So the painting was very durable. The factory G. H. Wünsche, witch produced the stove also produced enamel pots and -dishes.
