Hi, unclepugsly, Welcome to CCS! I would suggest that you go the Reference sections here at CCS, and spend a few hours going through the old Optimus catalogs that you will find there. You can get a rough idea of when the 324 Rider was made. I have that info at hand, but would do the same thing as you to find it, and I'm sure you will enjoy your time doing a little research here at CCS, as do the rest of us Stovies!! Have fun with your stove, and what are your plans for it? Use it? Fettle it? Use it for a boat anchor? 8) How's about letting us know a bit more about yourself, and your experience in using and enjoying stoves? We all love that sort of thing!! Good luck in your hunt for info, and I look forward to hearing more about you and your stove history! Take care, and God Bless! Every Good Wish, Doc
thanks for the info,I have a small collection of stoves, the rider 324 new in box just picked up for 25.00,what appears to be a 111b,a svea 123,and a crux lite.
Heya Unca Think Michael Jackson, Bruce Springsteen and Madonna's big hits decade and you'll have the 324 well-placed in history. Welcome aboard and do please consider: https://classiccampstoves.com/threads/17202 Not that far from Eugene and there will be plenty of stoves to see. I'm desperately trying to round up my serious "heavy metal" (beeg stoves) for the event. Cheers, Gary
Howdy, Unca, I second BernieDawg's invitation to join us at the OSG!! It's not that far from you, as such Gatherings go, and it would give you a chance to learn tons of fun stuff, meet some absolutely odd-ball, crazy, and good Stovies, and enjoy camping at a wonderful spot! Sound good to you?? You could bring your stoves, and we would be happy to go over them for you, just to make sure they are OK. This would be a great place to learn how to best take care of your stoves, and use them to good advantage, and to make sure they are all safe to use. Please do consider bringing your camping gear and joining us, or, if you are a motor home camper, gas up and drive on over to setup your camp!! 8) Hope to see you there! Take care, and God Bless! Every Good Wish, Doc
Yessir. And, I think the link I left above will give full directions and the like. But, give a shout if there are questions or if you need more info. Cheers, Gary
