    Hey
I'm looking at a Primus 535. The ad says that it is a kero stove but i thought they were meths stoves. So my question is are all 535's meths and if not how can you tell. Cheers
    Luke

    mine was kero,
irc to convert to meths it just needed an alcohol jet and restrictor [never tried it so unsure]
i don't know if they used alcohol only burners in some of the 535's, the one in the ref gal that says 535 alcohol burner looks to have the same burners as my kero one did and there are restrictors in one of the pics

    Hello LukeMcE.
The 535 comes in a kerosene version and an alcohol(meths) version. Both have silent burners.
The kerosene version has 4 tubes under the burner and the alcohol version looks like solid brass. The alcohol version has a gas delivery tube that completly houses the jet and goes up to the top of the inner burner cap. You cannot see the jet when it is all assembled, unlike the kero version.
The kero version is more common and cheaper to run. It also burns hotter compared to the alcohol version. Hope this helps. ;)

I think the version that parramethtrol has provided the link to, is an earlier Primus version of the alcohol type, with the restrictor tubes and different jets and prickers.
I once had a later Optimus 535 with the solid brass type alcohol burners.
