The lid for my Enders Baby has "Made in Western Germany" on it. Not all "Babies" in the Gallery have this. Does this help date the stove? Tony
Just a supposition; during the cold war, 1945 to 1990? West Germany experienced an economic jackpot so to speak in 1955, I suppose that anything worth exporting was on ships or trucks all over. There may not have been many stoves made in the east.
Morning, Tony, Can you post a photo of your Enders Baby, please, if you have not already done so? As Jeff has asked, it would be useful to know the color(s). So, seeing some photos would be very helpful. I have three Enders Baby stoves, the oldest one has "Made in Germany" on the top of tllhe stove box, and the paperwork is all marked the same. For the other two Baby stoves, neither of them has any markings on the outside of their cases, but both read, "Made in Germany" on their instructions paperwork. I look forward to seeing photos of your Enders Baby, will check the Gallery to see if you've already posted them. Take care, and God Bless! Every Good Wish, Doc P.S. Just checked and didn't see yours. However, I did find a stove marked, "Made in Western Germany". A forum member posted it, and if you look at the lid you'll see that marking printed. however, if you scroll through all the photos of this particular stove, you'll also see the flame plate is marked, "Made in Germany", with no mention of "Western".
This one says Made in Western Germany on the lid .... Link It seems that the wire pot support is with the stoves that have "Made in Western Germany" on the lids. Mine does not. That may date the stove. Ken in NC
Ok. I'll finish fettling this little beast, and post a complete set of photos in the gallery. In the meantime, I posted these photos in a previous post: https://classiccampstoves.com/posts/297734 Cheers Tony
