Some of you might remember my earlier post about the silent burner I had found for a Primus 70 - it had no top cap: https://classiccampstoves.com/posts/273177 I have used a 35mm brass welch plug to get it running: Up and running (daytime shot): I experimented with giving it a 'domed' cap (daylight shot): I made the 'dome' by placing the annealed cap upside down on the end of a socket and using a hammer and steel rod to shape it: Night shot under the light of an Aladdin pressure lamp: I still have a bit of fiddling to grind down the sides to exactly the right depth and work out whether the dome or the flat welch plug is best. I'll let you know, but I'm very happy with the result so far.
