Open season this month. Simply enter your best, favourite, most interesting, whatever 'camp stove'. It doesn't even have to be working so no fettling required. Must be a NEW entry in the SRG - see below.

We'll not rule out domestic ranges, boat stoves, etc - throw them into the mix too. Fuel - any. The only exclusion I'd like to impose is full-on kitchen 'cookers' not designed to be portable. Not clear? I'll shout up if I see one!

Post your nomination as a reply to this post.

    The rules.
    • Stove must be NEW entries in in the Stove Reference Gallery (SRG) with a link posted in the entry. So now's the time to get those stoves photographed & posted! Entries into the SRG must not be earlier than the date & time of this thread.
    • Maximum of 2 pictures in the entry. More pictures can of course be shown in the linked SRG entry - as many as you want!
    • Stove must be presently owned by the member.
    • One entry per member.
This nominations post will be open for the month of October. At the end of the month the post will be closed & the qualifying stoves placed in a blind poll for members to vote for. The poll will remain open for 1 week. Most votes is the winner.

The winner will get a SotM Winner notation on their posts & profile & a £10 voucher code from The Fettlebox

    Good luck & have fun

Although it's open to a broad spectrum this month, I'm going to stick with the "Camp Stove" aspect and add my Radius 17 shown here, my favourite for car camping, compact when packed but with good capacity.

Granted, no tent in sight, but why have breakfast in the Wasdale Head campsite when there are views like this down the road? Proof of this stove's excellency in lighting up and staying lit in the wind, without a metal windshield is evidenced by the single match in front of the box!

Many, many gallons of paraffin put to good use over the years with me, much bacon, egg and sausage for hungry campers on chilly mornings, much relief to tired, damp campers of an evening, the familiar rattle of the box being opened, the contents assembled, the welcome roar heralding soups, stews, pastas, custard while slowly drying out... a camp stove of great experience!

Here's my entry for the month. Since the entry doesn't need to be working, I figured I'd enter my Egyptian Bens stove that's got a massively cracked tank.

SRG link: Egypt - Bens Stove

Saw this on the e-place some time ago. Being a "Ben" myself, I thought it would be cute to own so I bought it. The tank is a complete mess - cracked in so many places that it will never, ever, be a functional stove again. But, it's neat in that it's got a lot of neat stampings and they've marked it "Bens" in so many places.
