Hello. In Poland, I bought such a beautiful burner for my father. unfortunately I can't find anything about it ... After replacing the leather seal, I was able to start it.
@Tomek Welcome to CCS, and thank you for your post. Your stove is missing a flame ring, and may require a new seal for the filler cap. Best regards Tony
There is a Swiss made standard on CCS labelled as a fake? https://classiccampstoves.com/posts/540454/ @OMC @gieorgijewski
Well that's an interesting story. So the "fly-by-night" company produced a burner with a German logo but with a Swiss address? Surprisingly, the seal holds the pressure very well. I will bend my missing legs, but I don't know yet where to get the flame ring. What year of production can it be? Best regards to enthusiasts
Hello, Why fake ? Standard was originally a swiss company. But Like AIDA taken over by Ehrich&Graetz. So both is correct: Made in Swiss and Made in Germany. never forget that Made in Germany worked better in sales back then (and maybe now still). New petromax lanterns are made in the far east but branded Made in Germany.
Hi @Tomek.if it's an original cooker then cool. On the other hand, if it's a fake, that shouldn't bother you either (if you're not a sophisticated collector, of course). I have several cookers of 'suspect' origin in stock. (Some are very well made) and it gives me satisfaction to work on restoring them snd reinstatement to work. This, of course, is my subjective opinion. As for the flame ring, you can use the online shops recommended here, or have a good look around. Some items can be adapted for this (brass bells, lamp bases etc). I made this one by cutting off a piece of the bell. Greetings Stanisław
It is moore complicated as we think... Shortly Stove imo is from 1930 to 1950 If "other" examples do not have DRGM code AND Do not have "nur fur petrole" Made Germany could be only "product location" - produced i.e. in Silesia (like large part of Myszkow production) My first reaction was Warsaw fake. But it was stable quality production - with country change. 30-50 was too many facts to easy recognise reason.
Interesting solution with the interlock. I have not come across it before. I wonder if, if the NRV does not hold pressure , the pump skin (once the piston is blocked) will hold pressure. Usually , with a leaking NRV the piston retracts. A really interesting solution. Thanks for sharing.
Hi, I have seen those “locking” pump knobs on at least three other Manufacturers stoves/blowlamps: Heinze/Geniol Military Stove pump fettling.. Veritas 9828 from 1958 . Unused. https://classiccampstoves.com/threads/max-sievert-blowlamp.11054/#post-105278 Best Regards, Kerophile.
Hi @kerophile . You used quotation marks, next to the word: locking. Am I to understand that this is just a gadget without a significant role? Greetings
