    Hi Bri,
As luck should have it, someone has recently pulled together the various threads about re-attaching legs in this post.
They might be worth a read before you give up on them.
I stripped some off of a tank with stress cracks last week, which was easy enough. No doubt attaching them is just the reverse of detaching them (I am not really that naive).
I spotted that your Monitor 17B needed a socket resoldering - I had a Veritas like that where I did not want to lose the patination, so rather than clean it all away, I glued it on with epoxy resin and it is holding up well. Veritas tanks are notorious for getting quite hot, but there have been no adverse issues and it has been used quite a bit since the repair. Maybe not something for the purists but a working solution.

    Hallow Dean.
Funny nuff you mention soldering. In my past life (post injury as was a descent solderer. But with only right arm operating I’ve been thinking of adapting something to achieve it. My wood working and other things in the workshops was mostly adapting jigs etc.
Ian over Durham was talking about the legs other day, but I didn’t mention getting then solder lol. Got distracted about blow lamps hahaha! As you do!
In my world I give anything a try, if it’s a fail, least I tried.
I’ll have to look at the sprocket needs soldering (you got any photos of that part (sorry meds kicked in and my Brain isn’t hot lol)
Right Dean than so much again, plenty to think about lol. So I’ll look at the thread. Mint.

    Bri,
Go back to post 31 of this thread and look at lower picture - "PARAFFIN ONLY" script. Is that a big gap to the socket to the left of the script where it sits over the flare in the side of the tank?
Here is my Veritas with the epoxy repair. Could have been neater but how much would I have needed to clean away to solder the socket back on? P1290253.JPG P1290254.JPG P1290255.JPG P1290256.JPG

    morning lads n lasses.
a bit of a what should i do! today (as in the five stoves)
    the Parasene is a keeper.
The Moniror if i get the repair kit sorted, still issue on the yellow flame and prob. the flame jet need looked at.
i love the look, size of the monitor as a display.
the RM works (needs the kit) but missing two legs (ian messaged me ref. custom legs)
as far as the Svea & Mova, for all i started cleaning the svea
think in hearts of hearts, these two and the RM will be sold as on going projects.
let’s face it i got all 4 (monitor was separate) for a good deal.
    i’ll think hard lol today.

    Lul in battle! Lol.
    Just researching more.
I’m sure I saw a thread or section somewhere for spirit burners/stoves, anyone help me on that when?
Need to thin them out as well & all the solid fuels stoves.
Hoping for to crack on with the Monitor tomorrow or Friday.

    Hi all,
Whilst using my Parasene, all I can explain as best as I can is the flame, was orange (crapped mysel Tbh) so I so turned off.
Looks like the fuel gushed out.
I thought the jet could be blocked. The washer & the whole burner is ok. Could the jet came loose? I used a jet pricker.
I’m waiting on word what washer kit I need for it. But I don’t think the washers is the cause, obv I’ve no clue lol.
Hope you can decipher this lol.

    Hi Bri,
Take a look at This thread. Sound similar?
The solution is within the thread, courtesy of Kerophile.
Of course, if you have a different problem and symptoms, this solution may not work for you .....

    Hallow Dean.
I’ll looked at Kerophile threads the other week.
Funny nuff it’s how I start mine.
After a few times with jet pricker to make sure.
But the next couple of photos don’t help lol
Bottom of the burner the washer is perished.

At the under of fuel cup a washing missing?
    AC1E34A1-46F7-4A19-BA80-E46D086533D6.jpeg
Looking at another old burner set up this has a fuel cup (ok prob need replaced lol)
After looking at the couple of times of flair up, if jet pricker hasn’t worked, could it be the jet? After buying repair from Ross of course.
Learning a lot, when stoves going ok there’ll brilliant, but when there not a pain!
The soldering leg situation like the Parasene when there complete mint.
I like the fold away legs of the monitor, even one of the leg supports has a prober ugly bodge job.
Last question, if the jet situation is the prob. Could I buy a new-ish burner complete to replace this?

See post 48 of this thread where I suggested epoxy adhesive which has stuck well on a stove that is used quite regularly.
Also, have you got a big Jubilee clip (worm drive clip) to hold it all in place while you fix it?
