    I must admit that I intetpret the rules the same way as OMC;
That the actual stove in the entry also should be in the reference gallery.
Wasn't much of the idea with the SOTM to boost posts in the gallery, so we get to see those beauties that perhaps wouldn't be posted at all otherwise?

I was definitelty the one misinterpreting thw rules, and should have read them more carefully. Did not mean to make such a fuss, but at least the rules for posting should now be crystal clear for anyone wanting to submit their stove  It seems you can't edit posts in this thread, so I have to update my entry like this, adding my link to the reference gallery in this separate post: Optimus Arctic 111C

Maybe @Spiritburner could add it to my original post?

    HaakonJ,
FWIW as I see it, no fuss and as of your ^^^^ post your entry now qualifies (may have already been ok, no biggy either way).

I very much like your stove (and like contribution of a rare reference example to our stove reference site).

confession: If yours were a stove I didn't admire so much, you would not have heard a peep from me .
    thx again omc

@HaakonJ Well done, that's a nice stove. Until you posted I could have voted for my own entry as my considered "best" with a clear conscience. Now, not so much.

    Greetings, All,

OK, right out of the chute, I'll say, IF this stove doesn't fit this category, please delete my post, and I'll totally understand. Here's my stove, the Optimus Loke 85:

My version came as the civilian offering from Optimus, but from what I've read here, the only difference, is the markings on the bottom of the pots. After I got my wonderful Loke, I found that it only came with one pan, and so posted a note about getting a proper replacement to make it complete. One of our great CCS Mates, stepped up, and offered me a pot with the proper Military markings, which I gratefully accepted!! Now, here is the fly in the ointment about my posting this stove here: as I am recovering from my recent surgery, and cannot lift anything over 10lbs, I can't get down into the Hobbit Hole to dig out the Military-marked pots!! So, my photos only show the standard Optimus pots. Again, if this situation invalidates my stove for the August posting, just delete it, and I'll post it again, after I can get down and dig out the proper Military pots!! Here is my Gallery post about this stove:

    Finally, an Optimus Loke 85!

When I fired up my stove last night, to take the above photo, it was using the kerosene with which I filled the stove back when I first fired it up for the Gallery post!! Using Meths for priming, it started right up, and burned nice and steady, from simmer to full blast!! What a great stove the Loke 85 is!! Yes, it's a tad on the heavy side, but when the chips are down, I trust the Loke to come through with flying colors!!

The Optimus catalog states that, with .35l of kerosene, it should burn for one hour, and ten minutes. I've not verified that information empirically, as of yet. But, next time we go camping, I'd love to take the 85 with us, and see just what it can do!! Thanks for looking, and God Bless!

    Every Good Wish,
    Doc

Interesting stove Doc. Part of an integrated system? Or were they also sold as stand alones? I have not seen one before.

    Hey, @IvanN ,

Take a look at my Gallery post (linked above), and you can see the entire system. The stove, itself, was, I believe, designed to be a part of this system, and works wonderfully in that task!!
